Before I had had him photographed, the first Coffee Man I painted was sold within a few weeks of hanging him in a gay-friendly restaurant in Laguna Beach, CA. This is the second Coffee Man.  It was he who started me thinking about coffee drinkers. Coffee shops are ubiquitous and yet, as a group and as individuals, the "Java" drinking people are fascinating. 

There is an art to making coffee and I have made the art of "Mojo" drinkers. This series, Coffee People, is a continuing study of "Bean Juice" lovers from many cultures, lifestyles, and from many locations. I have given all of the drinkers of "Joe" a green cup which signifies the one thing that we know they have in common.  They love their "Go Juice." 

Yes, they are all drinking from a green cup, but where are they from, what do they do, who are they, and what the heck are they thinking?
