A Word From the Artist


To me, the communicating of an experience or feeling is the purpose of art. My objective is to make a painting that is interesting and evocative. Most of my work is figurative. The facial expression, posture, colors, and the manner in which the paint is applied must evoke interest, emotional response, and invite the viewer to personally relate to the subject.

Original art adds an elegant touch, gives a home or an office a distinctive personality, and of course adds color. If I can reach someone through my work so that they want to make it part of their life, I feel successful. I would rather have more people enjoying my work in their homes and offices than raise my prices.
